In the afternoon of September 22, 2017, in order to fully understand the development dynamics of planning informationization of the counterparts in the urban planning industry and carry out technological cooperation, President Qiu Yanqing... visited Wuhan Planning and Design Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan Planning Institute") and had formal discussion, exchanged ideas in terms of planning informationization technology application and research on planning big data innovation.
In the afternoon of September 22, 2017, in order to fully understand the development dynamics of planning informationization of the counterparts in the urban planning industry and carry out technological cooperation, President Qiu Yanqing, Luo Yong, director of Urban Development Research Center, Huang Dingxi, director of Big Data Preparation Center and other personnel, seven in total, visited Wuhan Planning and Design Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Wuhan Planning Institute") and had formal discussion, exchanged ideas in terms of planning informationization technology application and research on planning big data innovation.
During the technology exchange of planning informationization, Qiu Yonghe, chief engineer of “Wuhan Planning Institute” and Xiong Wei, director of Digital Planning Research Center introduced the exploration and experience of “Wuhan Planning Institute” on planning information platform construction, management, operation and planning practice of “Planning Wuhan” and other aspects in recent years. “Wuhan Planning Institute” started to engage in the construction of the planning informationization platform and founded the Digital Planning Research Center in 2004. Now the Digital Planning Research Center has developed into a data planning team with influence in China, completing “a map” of control planning of Wuhan City, the construction of three-dimensional digital map and other informationization platforms, realizing informationization control of whole process of planning compilation, approval, and Digital Planning Research Center made use of internet technology and carried out planning practice of “planning and control”, which received public praise. These practice experience provided good reference and lessons for informationization resource integration and expansion application of key technology. During the period, both parties communicated about carrying out technological cooperation, providing technical support for construction of big data center of the institute and other problems.
Finally, leaders of the two parties said that the two institutes will take planning reform as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and communication in exploring the transformation and upgrading of planning compilation work, planning informationization, planning big data analysis and application and other aspects, in order to strive for improving informationization level of planning industry together.
