Based on the ancient appearance of Song Dynasty City, the both banks of Zhaoqing Binjiang will reshape the historical and cultural block; build the ecological tourism base featured by floodplain wetlands; plan the headquarters economic center supported by the advantage industry; and construct the ecological community with mountains and waters landscape as the theme.

Combined with the planning orientation and development goals, we put forward the concept of "dynamic link" - it will integrate the various resources of Zhaoqing “One River and Two Riverbanks”. Meanwhile, we will also penetrate the public functions into Binjiang blocks, so as to obtain more continuous and dynamic public interfaces. In the end, we plan to build the "two belts, three zones, three centers" riverside urban space structure.

In order to better carry out the urban design this time, we have introduced the public participatory research activities at the early stage of planning and design. Starting from the road traffic, urban landscape, recreation, cultural history, public facilities and other issues widely concerned by the public, we are aimed at thoroughly understanding Zhaoqing’s development situation as well as the planning intention of ordinary citizens to Zhaoqing’s future development, and exploring the potential development space of Zhaoqing City, so as to beautify the “One River and Two Riverbanks” city image of Zhaoqing, promote economic development, and provide realistic reference to public opinions.
